We make one thing: pure L-taurine powder with a pre-measured scoop. It's for people who feed their cats homemade, raw or cooked food, and would like one less thing to wonder about in the bowl.
Why Futeys exists
Enough taurine on paper. Less in the bowl.
You weigh the meat. You add the heart. You freeze it in portions. And still the question comes back: is this recipe actually complete?
Taurine is one fair reason to wonder. Cats can't make enough of it themselves, don't store it well, and need it from their food every day. Grinding, freezing, thawing and cooking can all lower it, and there's no way to measure what's left at home.
That isn't a failure of care. It's what kitchens do. Futeys exists to make the taurine part of that question simpler to answer.

Most cats don't need this. Some do.

Futeys is for you if…
You make some or all of your cat's food: raw, home-cooked, or ground and frozen in batches. Homemade food is where taurine can quietly come up short.

You probably don't need it if…
Your cat eats a food labelled complete, whether kibble, tins or pouches. Complete foods are made to include taurine, so a healthy cat eating them usually gets enough. The same can go for a homemade recipe built on a complete premix that already contains taurine, so check its label first. Save your money. We mean it.

Not sure?
Ask your vet, and bring your recipe. If your cat has a heart or eye condition, or will only eat plain meat, your vet should lead, not a supplement brand. That includes us.
What's in the tub
One ingredient. Nothing else.
Taurine for cats can come in blends, in capsules you have to break open, or with teaspoon dosing that's hard to get right. We wanted the plain version.
Futeys is pure L-taurine powder with a pre-measured scoop. No fillers, no flavourings, no blend.
The scoop is a daily top-up for a typical adult cat on a homemade diet, not a therapeutic dose. It's odourless and tasteless at that amount, and mixes into wet, raw or cooked food. If your cat needs a different amount, your vet can advise.
The science, plainly
What taurine does, and what it doesn't
Cats rely on their food for taurine. Getting enough supports normal heart muscle function and healthy eyesight, and taurine is part of the bile salts cats use to digest fat.
The part that often gets left out: essential doesn't mean every cat needs extra. A healthy cat on complete food is usually covered, and there's no good evidence that extra taurine does more for a cat that already gets enough.
Taurine on its own doesn't make a homemade recipe complete. It's one piece of a balanced recipe, and one that preparation can reduce.
